There are so many conflicts in the world, so many people fleeing war zones and violence, crossing turbulent seas to reach a shore of safety. This year has seen a tremendous rise in the numbers of refugees and in the waves of migration across the planet.
We at UNICAF recognise the human right of every person to have access to quality higher education. Through our state-of-the-art digital platform, students from 156 countries can 'learn as they earn', at a reduced cost, thanks to generous UNICAF Scholarships. Over USD 90 million have already been awarded in scholarships, changing more than 20.000 lives.
We salute all UNICAF scholars and all the young people of the world, in whose hands the future of mankind rests. Let's all work together to make 2019 a creative, innovative, prosperous and peaceful year for every human on the planet. |
