Governorship Candidate's Cars Set Ablaze!

The burnt vehicles

Angry youths in Imo State have attacked campaign buses belonging to Governor Rochas Okorocha's son-in-law, Mr. Uche Nwosu.

Nwosu is the preferred successor to the governorship seat in Imo state which will be vacant on the expiration of Okorocha's tenure.

However, there is a fierce battle between Okorocha's deputy, Prince Eze Madumere and Nwosu over the All Progressives Congress governorship ticket in the state.

However, things went out of hand when some angry youth who felt that a governorship candidate was imposed on them showed their grief by burning down three branded vehicles belonging to Governor Okorocha’s son-in-law at Amaike Primary School in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State.

BREAKING: Sanwo Olu Declared Winner Of Legos APC Governorship Primary.

BREAKING: APC NWC Declares Sanwo-Olu Winner Of Lagos Governorship Primary.

Clement Ebri, the Chairman of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) sent to Lagos to observe the governorship primaries, has endorsed the result of the primaries held in the state yesterday, Tuesday October 2nd and declared Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner.

Ebri had on the evening of Tuesday, cancelled the primaries saying there was no primary election in the state.

However, after much consultation with the National Chairman of the party Adams Oshiomhole in Abuja, Ebri was told to accept the results. This happened after Oshiomhole closed door meeting with President Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja.

Ebri, it was learnt, signed the result of the election won by Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, some hours ago.

Sanwo-Olu won the primary with 970,851 votes while Governor Akinwunmi Ambode got 72,901 votes.

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has now set an unwanted record as the first incumbent Lagos State governor to lose a primary election in the state.

The race for the APC governorship ticket in the 2019 elections has been a proper Nollywood flick. It had the right amount of controversy, intrigue, suspense, betrayal and drama. A couple of weeks ago when Babajide Sanwo-Olu declared interest in the governorship seat, few people took notice of him. But like a rolling stone, he gathered momentum. After getting the backing of APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, he then got the approval of local government chairmen, state and federal lawmakers, state commissioners, Femi Hamzat, who was a rival in the race, and just yesterday, the deputy governor of the state, Dr Idiat Adebule.

Dr. Idiat Adegbule, abandoned her boss, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, and announced her support for Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the governorship primary. Adebule told journalists at Ward A and D, in Iba Local Council Development Area of Lagos where she participated in the governorship primary of the APC, that she would endorse the candidate chosen by the party.

The NWC’s turnaround remains baffling because they had announced on Tuesday that due process was not followed in the primary elections. Invalidating the earlier exercise said to have been held across the state, Chairman of the NWC panel, Mr. Clement Ebri, said the panel never authorised it and the modalities were not followed as scheduled.

Briefing newsmen in Ikeja on the NWC’s position, Ebri said: “First and foremost, yesterday (Monday) we held a stakeholders’ meeting, certain submissions were made and on the basis of these submissions, I contacted the National Headquarters and they asked us to adjust the procedures in line with the provisions.

“Having done that, we now had to reach out to the party executives to submit lists that could be utilised for the purpose of posting officials to supervise the elections. Those lists only arrived at about an hour ago and so anything that was done without the lists that we wanted, because we wanted harmony and I told you, we are more interested in harmony than victory, so we had to wait for them.”

The APC National Chairman Adams Oshiomole speaking on Lagos state in Abuja after seeing the president, said that the National Working Committee was in charge of the Lagos primaries and that every situation has been put under control. The former Edo State Governor ruled out the possibility of honouring parallel results on the primaries from states, stressing that no matter how highly a member may be, he must subject himself to the Constitution of the party.

On what he told the President about Lagos Primaries, he said, “All that is good to go on, direct primaries, and everything is being done to ensure that there is no violence, that it is very potent. Democracy doesn’t flourish with violence and Nigeria must begin to learn how to differ in opinion and in choice without fighting. At least something people have to acquire over time. And for me I am excited that if we can do it in Lagos, we can do it anywhere.

Delta State Guber Fallout.

Delta APC guber fallout : Ochei, Utomi vow not to work for Ogboru.

By Emma Amaize, Regional Editor, South-South and Festus Ahon, Asaba

ALL Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial aspirant in last weekend’s Governorship Primaries in Delta State, Rt. Hon Victor Ochei has said that he would not work with the declared winner, Chief Great Ogboru, because no election was held in Asaba and the party undermined the justifiable feelings of the people of Delta North Senatorial District (Anioma ethnic nationality).

Minister for Niger Delta Development, Pastor Usein Uguru (r) exchanging greetings with a delegate from Kogi State, Mr. Frank Nneke while the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Prof. Steve Ocheni (2l) and another delegate looked on at the 2018 All Progressives Congress National Convention at the Eagle Square, Abuja. Another governorship aspirant, Prof Pat Utomi, who corroborated Ochei’s that there was no election, said he would send a formal petition to the national leadership of the party to do the right thing, but if it opts to uphold the illegality, “I will quietly resign my membership of the party.”

He dissociated himself from the parallel primaries by the Olorogun O’tega Emerhor/Cyril Ogodo faction of the party, which proclaimed him the party’s governorship standard-bearer for the 2019 general elections, saying: “I was not in the place; I did not even know there was such until Monday morning when I was told the outcome.”

However, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, also a governorship aspirant from Delta North, who equally faulted the process and declared it as a travesty told Vanguard that the party was supreme and he would abide by its decision on Ogboru’s candidacy.

Ochei told Vanguard on the phone that I would certainly not work with Ogboru, adding: “everybody saw it, I will not, because an election was not held.  If an election was held and after the election, a winner emerges from the process, it is fine, but you do not coerce people to work for you.”

He asserted: “This is an intra-party election; therefore, everybody ought to be carried along. I have my right as a party member and if you trample on that right, how do you expect me to come and work for you tomorrow.”

On his likely defection from the party, he said: “I remain a member of the party, and I hope that the party will address the issue. You do not undermine the feelings of an ethnic nationality, not in a state like Delta, I am sure the party will pay dearly for it.”

Prof Utomi, who raised the alarm about the primaries beforehand, said that he had up till press time yesterday not set his eyes on the delegates’ list despite repeated requests from the party.

“Returning Officer,  Major Gen Lawrence Onoja ( retd) spoke about peace, that and that, after which I raised a question that I have been asking for delegates’ list for some time and demanded that we should be given the list right away. Onoja looked to his left and right and said, we are a family, why not we go the field and act like a family. As we speak, I have not set my eyes on the delegates’ list.”

On his response, he said:

“I will petition the appropriate organ of the party, if I go through due process and they fail to do the right thing, if they decide that this is okay by them, then I will quietly resign my membership of the party, become non partisan, but never give up on the fight against obnoxious coup plotters, who plotted against the military, against civilians and against the constitution of the country. This cannot be the legacy we will leave for our children.”

On his part, Dr. Ojougboh told Vanguard: “We thank the leadership of the party at the national and  state levels  and my supporters, but I want to state categorically that I did not participate in any of the primaries, both O’tega  faction and APC primary by General Onoja (retd) and Jones.”

“Nonetheless, the party is supreme, and we believe in party supremacy, I, therefore, urge my supporters to accept the wish of the party, and I accept it. Moving forward, we will work for the party. In spite of the underlying circumstances towards and during the primaries, we accept the result,” he stated.

2019: Despite Mobilizing Votes For PMB, APC Reject Kenneth Okonkwo.

The Enugu chapter of All Progressive Congress, APC, has screened out Nollywood veteran actor, Kenneth Okonkwo.

Okonkwo who is vying to govern the people of Enugu State under APC was screened out during the party’s aspirants screening exercise yesterday night.

The development has caused stir on social media as some Nigerians remembered his statement which he said the Southeast should vote for President MuhammaduBuhari in 2019 or risk the chance of Igbo presidency in 2023.

According to online commenters, Okonkwo shouldn’t have made such statement since hence he had not been confirmed as a member of APC.

Speaking at ward A and D in Iba local council development area where she participated in the governorship primary of the APC, she announced her endorsement of the candidate chosen by the party.

“The party has chosen a man and it is that man that I will support and follow,” she said.

Gun Shot Disrupt Guber Aspirant's Committee Meeting!

Gun shots disrupt committee’s meeting with Ogun APC guber aspirants.

The Chairman of the National Committee of APC on Ogun Governorship primaries, Muhammad Indabawa (Middle), Ogun State APC Chairman, Derin Adebiyi (R) and a member of the committee at meeting held last night with six APC guber aspirants in Abeokuta.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) eight-man national committee for the Ogun State governorship primaries led by Muhammad Indabawa has concluded its meeting with six aspirants battling for the ruling party’s governorship ticket in the state.

The meeting ended abruptly following a sporadic shooting by suspected political thugs outside the main hall of Mitros Residence, Ibara GRA in Abeokuta, venue of the meeting.

Barely 10 minutes after the meeting began, suspected thugs from various camps had charged the atmosphere and created some tension before they went into shooting spree intermittently.

Journalists who were waiting for the outcome of the meeting scampered for safety.

Our correspondent could not ascertain the thugs’ mission as of the time of this report.

Amidst the panic that engulfed the venue, the meeting was put off as the aspirants left one after the other.

Among those at the meeting are Jimi Lawal, Bimbo Ashiru, Senator Gbenga Kaka, Dapo Abiodun, Abayomi Hunye and Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s choice candidate, Adekunle Akinlade.

The party’s state chairman alongside members of the national committee and party stakeholders had arrived at 10:40pm and kicked-off the meeting immediately.

Also at the meeting are the Secretary to Ogun State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, state executive of APC led by the Chairman, Derin Adebiyi.

Our correspondent recalls that the primary earlier slated for Sunday but it was later postponed to Monday.

The committee members, however, did not arrive until 7pm on Monday.

In his brief address, Indabawa, a retired Commissioner of Police, blamed the late arrival on logistics.

He said the committee deemed it fit to meet all the aspirants ahead of the governorship primaries.

The Committee Chairman sought for cooperation of aspirants and stakeholders to ensure a hitch-free electoral exercise.

Shortly after the address, the SSG asked journalists to step out “to allow the committee and aspirants concentrate on the family meeting.”

2019:All APC In Big Trouble.Checkout!

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a den of fraudsters and election riggers.

The party said this while reacting to the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode’s blistering attack on Babajide Sanwoolu, a Governorship Aspirant of the APC, in Lagos State, who is heavily backed by the National Leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu, to unseat Ambode, come 2019.

While addressing a Press Conference, on Sunday, Ambode had said that his challenger was unfit to govern the State.

He stated that apart from being arrested for spending fake dollars in the United States, he also underwent rehabilitation at Gbagada General Hospital.

Reacting, in a statement on Sunday night, Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP National Spokesman, said that with Ambode’s comments: “The whole world can see that the APC is nothing but a den of fraudsters and corrupt persons, who not only cheated their way to power through lies and propaganda, in 2015, but have also continued to bleed and defraud our nation, with humongous sleazes and massive corruption in very high places.”

“That is why the APC will have no scruples to project persons of questionable character, and those with allegations of corruption hanging on the necks, as their National Chairman and Governorship Aspirants.

“We challenge President Muhammadu Buhari to show his claimed integrity, by ordering an open investigation into this huge allegation against his party’s Governorship Aspirant.

“Finally, the PDP calls on all Lagosians, and indeed all Nigerians, to note this ugly trend in the APC, and ensure that they throw this undesirable party to the dustbin of history, come 2019.”

2019:From Rumours To Reality. What The Future Holds For Ambode.

Ambode warns of security breach in today’s primary.

Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode (left)addressing World Press Conference in Lagos…yesterday.

Lagos State governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has expressed dismay that the relative peace enjoyed by the residents of the state might be subjected to the vagaries of overambitious politicians.

Alluding to the plots to deny him a second term ticket to contest next year’s gubernatorial election on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC), Ambode said he was disturbed by media reports about the governorship primary election billed to hold today.

The governor, who addressed a press conference at the Government House, Alausa, exuded confidence and boldness and his readiness to face the odds placed on his path by potentates.

It is clear that the press conference was intended to pre-inform Lagosians of what quarters to hold responsible should they start seeing certain untoward occurrences in the state.

In a tone suggestive of the governor’s insistence on calling the bluff of unnamed APC stakeholders, Ambode declared: “It has become necessary for me to address you in view of the events of the last two weeks, particularly media reports in respect of the imminent APC governorship primary election in Lagos State.

“The last three and a half years have witnessed tremendous improvement in our security apparatus and a significant drop in the incidents of crime in our state.

However, the current political situation has caused palpable tension and unnecessary fears among law-abiding Lagosians.”

He said security reports available to the state government revealed “that there is an ongoing recruitment and arming of political thugs to disrupt the tranquil atmosphere of Lagos State, in the guise of holding primary elections.”

It is clear that the battle lines have been drawn between the incumbent and his detractors and it is not clear what shape the ensuing contest would take, even as the governor maintained that as “a responsible government that has invested so much in enhancing security of lives and property in the state, we will not allow any disruptive elements to cause panic or wreak havoc that will affect the progressive strides which Lagosians are known for.”

He appeared not to trust “the assurances of our party leaders to conduct free and fair primary elections for aspirants into the various political offices,” because he explained that “it has become imperative to put every stakeholder on notice, especially the Federal Government and security agencies, to take more than a passing interest in the development in this state that has hitherto been adjudged as the safest city in Africa.”

Speaking from the standpoint of the Chief Security Officer of the state, Ambode added: “Consequently, the state government will do all within its powers in collaboration with relevant security agencies to protect our citizens and insulate them from any condition that may breed insecurity or the breakdown of law and order in the state throughout the primaries campaign and election periods.”

There are fears of possible violence in the APC governorship primary, which was postponed to today, especialy against the background of the governor’s decision not to chicken out or shy away from the direct primary ordered by the national leadership of the party for Lagos State.

While assuring all Lagosians to be calm and go about their normal businesses, Governor Ambode advised “criminal elements not to foment any trouble in the name of politics or under any guise,” stressing that the full wrath of the law would be brought to bear on any law breaker.

He situated his decision to seek a second term on his desire to consolidate on the ambitious projects initiated by his administration, even as he pleaded for the support of every party member in tomorrow’s primary election, maintaining, “we shall overcome.”

For the first time in the hide-and-seek game surrounding the issue of endorsement or not for Ambode, the national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, came out with a statement in which he endorsed a rival aspirant, noting that the unnamed aspirant has been in the service of Lagos State Government for the period spanning Fashola’s and the present dispensation.

Why I Resigned From Buhari's Cabinet, Dumps APC - Alhassan Recalls.

Why I resigned from Buhari’s cabinet, dumps APC – Alhassan.

I write with a lot of respect to inform Mr President of my decision to resign my appointment as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Your Excellency may wish to recall that I joined the APC in 2014 along with other members of the then new PDP, contested the 2015 governorship election as the flag bearer of the APC and to the Glory of God, you graciously nominated to be a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Minister of Women Affairs, Senator Aisha Alhassan and President Muhammadu Buhari

Your Excellency Mr President may wish to be reminded that I went through all the screening processes (security, medical and national assembly) as required by constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria after which I was cleared and approved as fit and proper for appointment as minister. Mr President, you therefore graciously appointed and swore me in as minister in November 2015.

Mr President may also wish to recall that I wrote to notify you of my intention to again contest for governor of my state in forthcoming 2019 election under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and you again graciously blessed my intention and wished me well through a letter personally signed by Mr President which I appreciate and will forever cherish.

Sir, I purchased the APC nomination forms and went for the party’s screening on Thursday, the 20th of September 2018 along with ten (10) other contestants for the governorship of my state, Taraba. I, with your permission, proceeded to Taraba on the 23rd of September 2018, to prepare for the presidential and governorship primaries then scheduled for the 25th and 29th of September 2018 respectively.

While preparing for the primaries in Jalingo, I received with the shock and dismay that I was disqualified and not cleared to contest for the 2019 governorship by the National Working Committee of the party (APC). No reason was given for my disqualification.

Mr President may wish to be also informed that I had always been a very committed and loyal party member and was at no time queried or admonished for any wrongdoing or unconstitutional behaviour. Up to the time of writing this letter, no reason is given by the party for my disqualification to contest election under the APC.

It is for the above reasons sir, that I feel grave injustice was done to me by the party (APC), therefore my decision to leave the party and also resign my appointment as minister. If I am not qualified to contest election in the APC, I feel I am also not qualified to remain a minister in an APC government.

May I at this point thank, appreciate and express my profound gratitude to Mr President for the honour, rare privilege and lifetime opportunity you gave me to serve under your great and credible leadership. I learnt a lot (especially patience) under your leadership. Working with you in the last almost three years was great and has immensely improved my leadership quality, I will remain forever grateful for that, sir.

May I also use this opportunity to thank his Excellency, the Vice President, from whom I have also learnt a lot and my colleagues, other members of the Federal Executive Council, the SGF and cabinet office staff for their fellowship and support to me both as minister and personally. May God Almighty reward them all, Amen.

While wishing Mr President continued good health and thanking you again for the opportunity given to me, please accept sir, the assurances of my best wishes always and absolute loyalty to you as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Thank you Sir.

APC Postpone Indefinitely Guber Primaries In Kwara State.

APC postpones governorship primaries indefinitely in Kwara.

Tribune Online.

Governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State scheduled to hold on Sunday have been postponed.

Tribune Online gathered from authoritative sources in the party executives that the postponement was not unconnected to undecided mode which the primaries would take.

It is recalled that members of the party in the state, especially, the aspirants in the 2019 general elections had been divided along mode which the primaries would take to elect aspirants.

There were different peaceful protests by different groups in the party, either for direct or indirect primaries, while some leaders of the party even support consensus arrangement.

There is apprehension that the national leadership has a favoured candidate in mind with indirect mode being canvassed, while those that favour direct mode have are believed to have faith in their home support.

An authoritative source in the party disclosed that the governorship primary is undecided for now in Kwara state.

However, a media officer of one of the 13 APC governorship aspirants in the state said that the governorship primary would hold on Tuesday, tentatively.

The source said that the postponement was due to conflicting opinions on mode which the primaries would take, which he added that it was still undecided.

Meanwhile, members of the party, particularly, those loyal to the 13 governorship aspirants, had been posting different versions of cleared and uncleared aspirants by the National Working Committee on social media.

The state chairman of the party, Bashir Bolarinwa, had however, disclaimed such development, saying that none of the aspirants had been cleared.

Mama Taraba(Aisha Alhassan) Picks UNDP Governorship Nomination Form.

2019: ‘Mama Taraba’ picks UDP governorship nomination form.

Sen. Aisha Alhassan, who resigned her appointment as Women Affairs minister and also dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday picked the United Democratic Party (UDP) nomination form to contest for the Taraba State governorship seat.

Alhassan, at a press conference shortly after joining the UDP and picking its nomination form, claimed that the APC had become “the weakest political party in Taraba” with her defection.

The former minister claimed that she left the APC with thousands of her supporters, adding that many aspirants seeking the APC ticket to contest various offices in 2019 would soon pick UDP nominations forms.

Alhassan, who was disqualified from seeking the APC ticket, alleged that she was dropped by the national chairman of the APC, Mr Adams Oshiomhole.

“It was not the screening committee that disqualified me; the chairman of the party personally did it.

“But I have put that behind me. I have moved to the UDP and will seek its ticket to contest the governorship election.

“Oshiomhole has used his powers to deal with me, but it is God that gives power,” she said.

The former minister, who contested the seat in 2015 and lost to PDP’s Darius Ishaku, advised President Muhammadu Buhari to pay more attention to the activities of APC leaders so that their actions would not affect the party’s popularity.

The governorship screening committee of the APC on Thursday disqualified Alhassan from joining 10 other aspirants to fight for the ticket in the primary election slated for Sunday, September 30. (NAN)

APC Primary:Why Sanwo-Olu Will Defeat Ambode - Campaign DG, Ayinde.

APC primary: Why Sanwo-Olu will defeat Ambode – Campaign DG, Ayinde.

The Sanwo-Olu Campaign Organisation on Thursday expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will defeat Lagos Governor Akinwunmi Ambode at the primary election.

The Director-General, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, told newsmen that Sanwo-Olu will emerge victorious because he has the support of party members.

He assured that Sanwo-Olu will run an-all inclusive administration if elected.

The organisation said the aspirant will not conduct the affairs of the state with arrogance, pledging that he will foster a sense of belonging in the party by permitting members to contribute their quota to governance.

He noted that many party chieftains were anticipating the end of an era and the beginning of a new dispensation under Sanwo-Olu.

Ayinde described the aspirant as a technocrat with a wealth of experience in the private and public sectors.

He said: “Sanwo-Olu is a politician and not an ordinary civil servant without a political experience.

“He has served as political adviser, commissioner and Managing Director of LSPDC. We believe God has a hand in this project.

“He has been endorsed by ward and local government chairmen of the party, chairmen of 57 councils and 377 councillors. They are all behind us.

“We have met with market women and their leaders, led by the Iyaloja. We have met with religious leaders.

“These are the structures. We have the support of the political structures in Lagos State.”

The campaign chief further disclosed that the aspirant had resigned from his position as Managing Director of the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC).

The War Between Buhari And Obasanjo As A Result Of Obasanjo's Son's Support To Buhari.

This indeed shows that there is firing burning inside former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s camp, for his son to publiclyside with the opposition  is a sign that things are not normal. Despite the fact that former President Olusegun Obasanjo is publicly opposed to Buhari’s re-election bid, his son Abraham Olujonwo Obasanjo has openly declared his support and availability to work for the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Festus Keyamo, Director of Strategic Communications, President Buhari Campaign Organisation, confirmed that Obasanjo’s son wrote the campaign organisation on Wednesday to officially declare his support. In the letter, He strongly appealed to all youths to “embrace and support Buhari’s government in his aggressive, relentless pursuit of equitable distribution of wealth and resources to the masses”

The signed cover of the letter reads:

Dear Sir, please find attached a statement of my public declaration and support for the 2019 second term re-election bid of our highly esteemed President Buhari. “I have taken a personal decision to release the statement and to notify you of my availability to work for the re-election of our dear President Muhammadu Buhari with sincerity and loyalty.

“Please accept my assurances of the highest regards.”

THE LETTER IN FULL

A CLARION CALL TO ALL NIGERIAN YOUTH TO SUPPORT THE SECOND TERM BID OF PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI IN 2019

All over the world the youth have a significant and instrumentative role in shaping society. They are the future leaders who possess great energy, talent and abilities to positively transform the socio-economic and political future of our nation. The younger generation should not be on the sidelines, leadership will not be handed over to them on a platter of gold. It is important to be involved in activities and decisions that will steer Nigeria forward and we must learn from the mistakes of the past.

Our elders and leaders also must willingly prepare and mentor us the youth to take on more crucial roles and become responsible leaders in various spheres of the country. Critical understanding of issues and constructive criticisms would be a positive step, not misinformation, poor reporting, lies or propaganda to undermine the achievements and efforts of the current administration.

The Bill and Melinda gates foundation predicted that by 2050 Nigeria and Congo will have of the world’s poorest people. These findings were not concluded within three years but have gathered data from the past 58years of our great nation. We are at a critical juncture where the current administration, in order to prevent the predictions coming to pass, have had to go back to the drawing board.

The current administration has begun the process of laying a solid foundation for future generations. They have deliberated and contemplated extensively on our myriad of issues and complexity as a nation to proffer deeply rooted plans and policies to tackle and establish a strong base on which to build and consolidate upon.

It is also important to note that this process is not without pains but we should consider where we were, where we are and where we are going, The current administration has given hope to the common man; it is the dawn of a new age. I would humbly and strongly appeal that we all embrace and support Buhari’s government in his aggressive, relentless pursuit of equitable distribution of wealth and resources to the masses to aid the growth and development of our nation. He is seriously improving and empowering local farmers, indu strialists, the women, the SME and businessmen.

The government is serious about development and has given new life to the steel industry and the Buhari Administration is determined to industrialize our Nation and to make us a producing nation and the revival of the Ajaokuta steel complex and completion of the Baro and Lokoja ports are examples, The current administration has sought to address our importation of petroleum products through the relocation of refineries.

These are few examples, a whole book is needed to put the achievement and successes of the current administration into details. The current administration has invested more in education, health, agriculture, security, road infrastructural development to aid the growth of the economy despite receiving less revenue.

The ingenuity of the current administration in proffering solutions is highly commendable. No human is perfect, no government is perfect, only the Creator of heaven and earth embodies perfection. We are on the right path and should not deviate. The youths of our great nation •should join hands and support the progress and giant strides of President Buhari, he is working commendably to free us from past bondage and captivity.

We are on the right path but we must not go back into bondage again. The Lord has provided a safe route for us through the Red Sea now, we must continue safely in this journey and not relent. I am calling on the youths of our nation to let us work together to return President Buhari to power in 2019. Thanks and God bless Nigeria and protect all of us

The statement read thus: “It is a lie from the pit of hell, an ugly story planted by ugly persons to cause disaffection in the land of limitless opportunities and the pride of the nation.

“This is an election period and politicians are trying to upstage one another by resorting to playing to the gallery by manufacturing lies, innuendoes and outright subterfuge to gain advantage.  This is not the culture of Lagos APC and it can never be.

“Let it be known and it is hereby made known that APC Lagos cannot accept this brigandage, political irresponsibility and rascality.  Those who are parading the this fake news are enemies of our great party,  they do not mean well and therefore cannot succeed.

“We are therefore asking our teeming supporters to ignore the antics of the enemies of progress. Lagos APC has not suspended anybody and has no plans to do so. We remain a united family, an indivisible entity and just one house.”

However, in a swift reaction via a joint statement, Bamgbola and Alli, stated: ‘It has been brought to our notice that some unscrupulous elements and political jobbers are fabricating a destructive story against our image.

“Hence, we wish to inform you all our supporters to disregard any such defamatory story against our loyalty to our father and political idol, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. We believe in his political ideology and we will forever remain Tinubuist. We are for Jide Sanwo-Olu, the in-coming Governor of Lagos.”
